How the Extension Works

Reversi AI Lite is a fully offline Reversi (Othello) board game that runs inside a Chrome extension popup:

Game Logic: All game rules, move validation, and AI opponent calculations run locally in JavaScript within the extension popup.
AI Engine: The minimax AI with alpha-beta pruning runs entirely in your browser. No cloud services or external APIs are used.
No Network Requests: The extension makes absolutely zero network requests. It works completely offline.

Third-Party Services

Reversi AI Lite does not use any third-party services, APIs, or external resources. Everything runs locally.

Data Storage

Reversi AI Lite uses Chrome's local storage API (chrome.storage.local) solely to save your current game state so you can resume after closing the popup. This data:

Is stored only on your device
Contains only game board positions and settings (difficulty level, turn)
Is never transmitted anywhere
Can be cleared by uninstalling the extension
